At the very last moment, Sam has been offered the opportunity to compete in the New Zealand Grand Prix at Manfeild.

Racing as a third entrant with XXX Motorsport, Sam will be competing in the car previously run at the start of the season by Australian driver Chris Wooten.

The opportunity has come about as a result of support from Karcher, Humphries Construction and local 500 Club members.

“It will be great to get out on track once again after what was a disappointing end to last season.  I am pretty nervous, but I just want to prove to myself that I can do it.  It will be difficult jumping in at the second to last round of a series, but I just want to chip away and see how I go.”

The Toyota Racing Series will compete on a new specification tyre for the round, used by Formula Renault in the 2010 European championship.
